Local Developer Shamrock Parking, L.L.C., has acquired the Paxton Hotel property at 14th & Harney Streets and also recently purchased the former Bergman’s Jewelry store building and parking lot adjacent to the Paxton property. Purchase of the two properties, including the parking lot, has made the site more viable for development. It is the last undeveloped parcel on the Gene Leahy Mall. Studies are now being conducted to determine the structural integrity and economic feasibility of developing the structure and adjacent properties. The intention now is to provide a mixed-use development that will include the residential for-sale condominiums.
